"Pick PICO"
June 1st -3rd
Pick Pico Weekend put a spotlight on Pico Businesses with special weekends promotions where shops had unique or discounted items, restaurants offered two for one specials or special tasting menus and services offered big discounts!

Before Saturday shopping began, students from WESTWOOD CHARTER SCHOOL provided a great community service by volunteering to pick up trash all along the street. They wore orange tshirts (The PICO PUSHBROOM PATROL) provided by JMB Realty of Century City and put on plastic gloves and went on their way. Chair of the event, Lisa Morocco, acknolwedged and thanked the students as did CD 5 Chief Deputy Joan Pelico. At noon time, CD 5 Councilmember Koretz visited with the students and their families.

Colorful maps of the Pico business community in our area were distributed all throughout the community and at local hotels. They featured an insert with weekend specials and will continue to be utilized until the supply runs out. They were funded by the WNC.
